Winter
The project is called “Winter”, my favorite season of the year. I stroll in my neighborhood during the Winter and photograph the white fluffs on trees and houses. It is a beautiful sight to look at. The submitted images are Silver Gelatin prints not toned.

“Making photograms allows me to step aside from lens and film, so I can spend hours of experimenting with different techniques of printing which I enjoy very much. In a way its therapeutic, allows one to escape to another world. I always preferred printing rather photographing as the years passed by.
Photogram is a photographic image that is made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of a light-sensitive material then exposing it to light. The result shows variation in tones that depends upon the transparency of the objects used. I manipulate the print with various technique applications to give the print the color tones of Pictorialism era. Areas of light-sensitive material received no light appear warm whites, and the exposed areas are warm black-yellowish tones in the final print.” Zia Ayub
